Sam Kodama is a senior at Columbia University. His senior thesis is using the (U–Th)/He system to investigate the evolution of the Wilkes Land Subglacial Basin since the onset of Antarctic glaciation. He has also worked on projects at Lamont regarding lipid biomarkers during Viking-age Norway and attempting to constrain global cosmic spherule fluxes. His interests are isotope geochemistry and glaciology. Biotite is his favorite mineral to pick.
